چکیده

Research on the regeneration of cathode materials spent lithium-ion batteries for resource reclamation and environmental protection is attracting more attention today. However, majority studies recycling (LIBs) placed emphasis only recovering target metals, such as Co, Ni, Li, from materials, or how to recycle LIBs by conventional means. Effective strategies (e.g., pyrometallurgical technologies, hydrometallurgy techniques, biological strategies) have been used in research LIBs. Nevertheless, none existing reviews regenerating waste elucidated regenerate lithium nickel manganese cobalt oxide (NCM LiNixCoyMnzO2) directly containing other than NCM cathodes but, at same time, frequently commercial LiCoO2 (LCO), LiFePO4 (LFP), LiMn2O4 (LMO), etc. mixed materials. This review showcases techniques LiNixCoyMnzO2 active some commonly different types mixed-cathode The article summarizes various technologies processes individual scraps without their preliminary separation. In meantime, economic benefits diverse synthetic routes reported literature are analyzed systematically. minireview can lay guidance a theoretical basis restoring

Superior hybrid cathode material containing lithium-excess layered material and graphene for lithium-ion batteries.

Graphene-wrapped lithium-excess layered hybrid materials (Li(2)MnO(3)·LiMO(2), M = Mn, Ni, Co, hereafter abbreviated as LMNCO) have been synthesized and investigated as cathode materials for lithium-ion batteries. Cyclic voltammetry measurement shows a significant reduction of the reaction overpotential in benefit of the graphene conducting framework. The electrochemical impedance spectroscopy ...

Lithium-Excess Research of Cathode Material Li2MnTiO4 for Lithium-Ion Batteries

Lithium-excess and nano-sized Li2+xMn₁-x/2TiO₄ (x = 0, 0.2, 0.4) cathode materials were synthesized via a sol-gel method. The X-ray diffraction (XRD) experiments indicate that the obtained main phases of Li2.0MnTiO₄ and the lithium-excess materials are monoclinic and cubic, respectively. The scanning electron microscope (SEM) images show that the as-prepared particles are well distributed and t...

Lithium batteries and cathode materials.

In the previous paper Ralph Brodd and Martin Winter described the different kinds of batteries and fuel cells. In this paper I will describe lithium batteries in more detail, building an overall foundation for the papers that follow which describe specific components in some depth and usually with an emphasis on the materials behavior. The lithium battery industry is undergoing rapid expansion,...
